Five Golden Rings
Staring at five golden rings, the young boy wondered how it felt to become an international sports star.
Swimming, playing basketball or running around the world seemed pretty cool.
He ached for the chance to see the golden rings and tried to master almost every sport. He had little success with swimming and was horrible at dribbling when it came to basketball. He was an average runner and lacked the technical skills to become a wrestler.
Discouraged, he thought he might never see the golden rings until one day he was discovered by a nosy neighbor.
Spotted 30 feet in the air, tumbling and making incredible flips, the neighbor had a need for his gymnastics team and tried to get the boy’s attention by yelling out the window. That didn’t work so he threw the only thing he had and removed five golden rings.
